Sources of Drawings

The following table shows known holders of drawings for road steam engines. Drawings are generally catalogued / stored by number. The relevant engine build sheet is therefore usually required in order to find drawings for a specific engine.

If you cannot find what you are looking for here, please try the Drawings Search page, or the Archive Search page which gives some alternative online catalogues, as well as tips for successful searching. However, no drawings held by the Museum of English Rural Life are catalogued online.

Savage Bros		King's Lynn Museum, Norfolk. Contact via Norfolk Records Office. Collection covers all aspects of business. Recently conserved, but in very delicate condition so can only be reproduced photographically.
Sentinel (Shrewsbury)		A large collection of drawings covering Sentinel road and rail locomotives is stored on early acetate slides. In fragile condition so not generally available yet, but for further information, try the Sentinel Drivers Club
